Hospital Policies


Appointment Policy

 

We prefer to see patients by appointment.  This policy allows us to schedule enough time to devote to each client.  We will see walk-in patients, however, we charge a small extra fee for this convenience.  Walk-in clients are seen as they can be fit in between regularly scheduled appointments.

 

Emergencies are always tended to immediately.

  

Pre-Surgical Policy

 

Routine surgery is performed Monday through Friday.  Before your pet's surgery:

1.    Pre-surgical bloodwork will be completed prior to your pet's surgical procedure.

2.    Do not feed your pet after 9:00 pm the night before the procedure.

3.    Your pet may have water.

4.    Please arrive at the hospital between 7:30-8:30 the morning of your pet's surgery and allow 10 minutes for check-in procedures.

5.    Your pet's vaccinations must be current prior to surgery day or we can vaccinate prior to surgery.  If vaccines were given at another clinic please bring the records with you.

6.    A Surgical Release Form must be signed by the pet's owner allowing our Doctors to use anesthesia on your pet.  Print the Pre-Anesthetic Release form, sign it and bring it in with you when you drop your pet off for surgery.

7.    If your pet is gettting a dental please print the Dental Release Form, sign it and bring it with you when you drop your pet off.
 

New Client Policy

 

We welcome all new patients to our hospital and we are very pleased to have you as a client.  We will do everything we can to serve you and your pet.

To make your first visit a pleasant experience, here are some tips to assist you:

o    Call for an appointment.

o    Arrive 10 minutes early, this will give our staff time to verify your information in the computer.

o    If possible, print and fill out the New Client Form in advance.  You can either bring it with you at the time of your appoinment or fax it back to us at (509) 532-9989.

o    If your pet has received medical care at another hospital, please have the previous veterinarian fax a copy of his or her medical records to (509) 532-9989 so that we may review them in advance.

 

Financial Policy

Thank you for choosing Lincoln Heights Veterinary Clinic. Our primary mission is to deliver the best and most comprehensive veterinary care available for your pet. An important part of the mission is making the cost of optimal care as easy and manageable for our clients as possible by offering several payment options. Lincoln Heights Veterinary Clinic requires payment in full at the end of your pet's examination and/or at the time of discharge.

            -Convenient Monthly Payment Plans from CareCredit®

           o    Allow you to begin treatment today and pay over time

           o    Available for any treatment amount

           o    Can be used repeatedly - for your entire family - without having to reapply

 

Additional Policy Information:

Lincoln Heights Veterinary Clinic charges $15 for returned checks. For clients with pet insurance, we are happy to provide you with the necessary documentation to submit a claim to your insurance carrier.
